In the annual ceremony, in which we give thanks for the reconstruction of our town, we gather to remember the Restoration.

The Parish Church Of All Saints

In 1675 a devastating fire destroyed much of the town of Northampton, devastating its population and shocking the nation in a way not seen since the Great Fire of London. In an act of reconciliation that drew donations and benefactions from across the country, King Charles II (thanks in part to the intervention of James Compton, Earl of Northampton) gave leave for the passing of a bill for the reconstruction of the town and the rebuilding of All Saints&#x27; Church.At this act of worship, we recall the traditional Oak Apple Day service which was included in the Book of Common Prayer until the Victorian Era, and hear historical reminders of the restoration of the Monarchy in these Isles. Joined by the Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, and the High Sheriff, this annual commemoration includes the wreathing of the statue of King Charles in oak leaves by the Mayor of Northampton. This service is open to the public, but places are limited. The service will be livestreamed, and can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/Oq1U_uY5OikIMPORTANT NOTES:During the coronavirus pandemic, we are doing everything we can to maintain All Saints&#x27; Church as a covid-secure place of worship. This means that during busy periods, our services and events are ticket-only so that we can carefully maintain an acceptable number of people in the church. The following requirements apply at all times:1. We ask you to either pre-register or sign-in upon arrival so that we have your contact details for Track and Trace purposes. This information is kept for 21 days, after which it is destroyed. We will not contact you unless there is a medical reason to do so, unless you otherwise advise us.2. Facemasks or coverings are mandatory in All Saints&#x27; Church.3. We ask you to sanitise your hands when you enter the church and when you leave. The church will be thoroughly cleaned between services.4. Toilet facilities are not available, except in an emergency.5. Northampton remains subject to national measures. We ask you to exercise restraint in congregating with others outside your household or family bubble. This includes after worship has taken place.6. Please do not come to church if you&#x27;re experiencing symptoms of coronavirus or if you have been told to self-isolate. You should not attend All Saints&#x27; Church if you, or anyone in your household or family bubble, are awaiting the result of a coronavirus test.Thank you for your assistance.
