Research Roasters is a live pop-up talk show where the public gets to meet real researchers and have real conversations over free coffee and biscuits. There are no slides, no scripts, and no jargon. Just honest questions, surprising answers, and a few laughs along the way.In this special edition, we’re doing something different. After a series of short, relaxed interviews with early-career researchers from the fields of sport science, pharmacology, astrophysics, machine learning and law, we’ll invite the audience to help shape a brand-new research idea. Together with the scientists, you’ll help build a research proposal from scratch, starting with what matters most to you.This is science as conversation, not presentation. It’s about building trust, sharing power, and exploring how research can grow from shared curiosity. Whether you’re into big questions or small details, we’d love you to pull up a chair and join in.
