About this event
The Teaching Partnership's Practice Education team are delivering a series of workshops predominantly aimed at practice educators, practice assessors and on-site supervisors but open to all those involved in a student's journey on placement.
At this time the workshops are open to staff employed by our partner agencies, as well as independent practice educators and assessors who work with students in the agencies.
There is no charge for these sessions.
PE Workshop: Assessing Against the PCF/PQS & SWE Standards
This workshop will be exploring the following key themes:
- To refresh ability to identify ‘professionalism’, including e-professionalism
- To explore challenges related to time management and tools to support a student with this
- To have refreshed understanding of emotional resilience and tools to support a student
We are really looking forward to seeing you at this workshop. In order for you to get as much out of this training as possible we ask that you familiarise yourself with the following workshop etiquette:
- Join on time. We won’t admit anyone who is more than 15 mins late. If you know this may be a problem, please contact us beforehand at admin@developingtogetherswtp.org.uk
- When you first join, please click on the participants icon, and check that your name is displayed correctly. We aim for the session to be interactive, and so it is important that we know your name. We also need your name to send you a CPD Certificate!
- Please turn your cameras on when you join. For the session to be interactive, and to support the trainer to facilitate effectively, it is important we can all see each other - so much of our communication is through body language. We realise there are some specific reasons why occasionally this is not possible. If this is the case, write us a private message using the chat function when you first join the workshop.
- Please do participate, either by using the chat, or by asking a question. When you are not speaking though, please can you mute yourself to reduce feedback and background noise.
- We regularly use jamboards and other activities, so it is useful to have another tab open on your web browser. On Zoom the links sent in the chat box are not hyperlinks, so you’ll need to copy and paste the link into a browser. Having a separate tab ready will make it easier for you to participate.
- We know that circumstances can change - if you know you can’t make the event, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite - this automatically offers someone on the waiting list the opportunity to attend.
- We have created a short Zoom guide about how to use functions on this platform. If you have not used Zoom before, or are not confident in using it, please do have a look at this.
N.B. We may record some workshops for future use. Please let us know if you have any concerns about this.
