|Home-Start Greenwich is an independent charity affiliated to Home-start UK that has been offering support and helping families with young children in the Royal Borough of Greenwich for over 25 years.At the heart of our work is the home visiting volunteer support whereby we support families with young children where parenting begins in the home. We do this via a 1:1 Home-Visiting Service, delivered by volunteers offering weekly support to families in their own homes.We have two Ofsted registered nursery settings supporting parents with quality childcare jointly providing 96 places for children 0 to 5 in the Plumstead area.Our services are complemented by our partnership work with Royal Greenwich deliveringchildren centre services from seven settings.

Advanced Smartphone Photography course, ideal or those who have attended the beginners course or have a good command of their phone camera

This course runs for 3 consecutive weeks, between Saturday 17th July- Saturday 31st July 2021Times: 10:00 - 13:00*Please note you need to be aged 19+ and preference given to Greenwich residents for waiting lists. ID proof/number will be required when registering for the course. Course might be postponed or cancelled if minimum numbers not achieved&quot;.**Please note this is an online, live course with assignments, no access to Ravensbourne University London due to Covid19 pandemic and government advice&quot;This is a course for learners who have previously undertaken our Smartphone Photography course or who feel confident manipulating their smartphone camera features (exposure, ISO, white balance, focus, rule of thirds etc...).This course will be focusing on Street, Portrait and Product Photography, and you will experience different features, exposure, lights, long exposure etc that will change the way your photos are taken.You will finish the course maximising the possibilities of your smartphone, transforming your device into an effective tool to take pictures with a high-quality and understanding how to edit them in order to highlight the results. This is an online live course, where you will be taught by an experienced tutor in creative industries.Aims of the course:1. Understanding, composing and improving your portrait, street and product photography2. Developing your style of photography3. Presenting your photography via social media*Learners must be age 19+ and must bring their own smartphones*Minimum smartphone skills required to commence the course. We will advise you on which apps to downloads before the course starts. Basic computer skills needed such as downloading apps, transferring photos etc.... Materials will be provided. You will work individually and in small production groups using cloud based digital learning and mobile technology.This opportunity can be used to enhance your skills in development and preparation towards subsequent education and/or employment, if you are starting your own business or already run your own business, or alternatively as an enjoyable way to engage with new people and new ideas.Past learners have gone onto our Access to Higher Education course and BA courses at Ravensbourne.Basic IT skills are required to commence the course, however no experience is required.
