The Italian Garden at Great Ambrook

The Italian Garden

Enter the green embrace of the Italian Garden and learn how to make your own fun garden sculptures out of willow. In this half day workshop, Jenny will be teaching you the skills and weaves to turn simple willow rods into your own willow flowers and dragonflies. These look fabulous placed in a flower bed or flying above a plant pot.Jenny teaches step by step so this workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience with willow, however working with willow does take some hand strength! You will take home at least one unique flower and dragonfly along with written instructions to remind you how to make more at home. This is an outdoor workshop located within the Italian Garden. Dressing for the outdoors, with several layers of clothes and footwear with a good grip, will mean you can enjoy this unique environment. Please bring along a camping chair to sit on, a pair of sharp secateurs, and drinks, snacks and lunch as you need. The garden is actively under restoration and very much a work-in-progress with uncleared areas, uneven paths and no facilities on site. There is limited parking at the garden so car sharing where possible is encouraged. Visits will be cancelled the day before if bad weather is forecast. We are pleased to offer subsidised pricing thanks to our National Lottery funding. If you would like to make an additional donation to our restoration project, any contribution towards our replanting fund would be very welcome! The garden is a not-for-profit charitable interest company and all profits are reinvested in the restoration and replanting of the garden.Make a donation towards replanting the Dell Garden Follow us on Facebook Follow us on Instagram
