<p>For students in Years 10,11 and 12 and their families. If you are considering applying to Oxford or Cambridge or some of the other top universities worldwide, then this is a must. What these universities are looking for is something quite different and you need to be in the know if you are to be in with a chance. Even the top private schools often miss the mark with these applications.</p>

We look at why these universities ARE different - the good and the bad - and whether this is something that might work for you. 

What is the difference anyway?

We review the reality behind the application process and how to use what you already have to the best affect. Is your Duke of Edinburgh award valuable - No it is NOT here. How important are grades? You might be surprised here too. So what are they actually looking for and how do you make sure you have it before you submit your application. Most pupils, their families and their schools consider this stuff way too late in the game.

We take questions from the audience. Whatever your question, this is your time to get the answers you need.

What is this college business all about and how does it work? Is it important to me? 

The Collegiate System - How does that work?

We walk you through what a good and bad personal statement look like and how to pique the interest of the admissions tutors. We look closely at things to avoid and things you ought to include. You will get material to help guide you through the practice exercises. We specifically look at the key differences between UCAS for Oxbridge and UCAS for elsewhere.

Your personal statement

We review questions from the day, summarise our reflections and the important points to keep in mind going forward. You are welcome to stay on and speak to the consultants directly too. You should leave with a clear plan of action for the coming year at least.
