Bus tour of the Lost Wells of Galloway

Galloway Glens

A whistle-stop tour of some of the wells re-discovered by our Lost Wells volunteers

New Galloway

In early 2021, our volunteer researchers found out amazing stories about some of the Lost Wells of Galloway. Join the CYDI archaeologists for a guided tour of four of them:

Lochenbreck Well between Laurieston and Gatehouse

The Rumbling Well near Dalbeattie

St Ninian's Well in Parton (pictured)

The Green Well of Carsphairn.

This will be a bus tour but off-road walking will be required to get to the well sites. Full information will be given after successful booking.
