The Charity Governance Code was developed a couple of years ago, to support trustees and leaders of charitable organisations to have guidance in their daunting roles as trustees. This Code covers all of the areas that Trustees need knowledge of and gives trustees a very good framework for good practice and due diligence in managing their organisations.

The NCVO toolkit, uses the code as its basis for creating discussion and inviting questioning of everyday practice for trustees.

Using these two documents as the bases of the workshop, we are going to get an overview of the code, an overview of the toolkit and how it should be used, as well as a look at some specific areas in detail.

Participants will have the chance to ask questions, work through scenarios and discuss situations and solutions with their fellow participants.
