Cinemagic is a multi-award winning organisation that embraces the magic of film, television and digital technologies to educate, motivate and inspire young people. Established in 1989, Cinemagic has developed a worldwide reputation for excellence in children’s programming and is currently the largest film event of its kind for young people in Ireland and the UK. Designed for and by young people, Cinemagic caters for young people (Under 25) with just about every level of interest in film, whether to watch and enjoy, create their own work or take things a stage further and find out more about a career in the film or television industry. Cinemagic strongly believes that film represents much more than entertainment – the medium of film offers the most accessible way to learn about and stimulate discussion among young people about the personal and world issues that are currently important to them. Our ‘Career Crafts’ seminars and Q&As are great opportunities for new entrants to gain insight from film & TV industry professionals.

A panel of Irish industry representatives from film education, production, film finance, film distribution and the Industry Trust for IP Awareness/Lovemovies.ie will be on hand to inform participants about all the latest opportunities available for young filmmakers and creatives in areas including skills development, funding, film exhibition and commissioning. This event is for young people aged between 18-25.All events will take place online and will be facilitated by Cinemagic staff. A Zoom link will be sent out via email on the day of each session. If you have any questions or require more information, please email workshops@cinemagic.ie In line with Cinemagic’s GDPR Policy this event will be recorded for promotional and evaluation purposes.
