Explore the thinking approach of the honey bee

Bee Time is an art and research collective creating contexts for knowledge exchange and regenerative practices inspired by the systems thinking approach of the honey bee.Onyx Baird explores the similarities between humans and honeybees. Just as each individual bee plays her specific role within the hive with love and focus, each human being has a unique essence and treasured way in which they are here to support the collective.The Treebeekeepers Brotherhood will share stories and images about Polish tree-beekeeping. Tree beekeepers take care of bees in a special way by trying to recreate the primeval living conditions in tree hives without interfering with the natural life cycle of the bees.Onyx Baird is a sacred bee tender and visual artist based in Portland, Oregon. She teaches beekeeping practices that are rooted in conservation as well as in learning how to relate to the honeybees in both a spiritual and heart-centered way.Piotr Piłasiewicz from Augustów/ Poland runs Bractwo Bartne (Treebeekeeping Brotherhood). He is an active treebeekeepr with over 25 tree hives in the Augustow Forest and is a professional mead maker. Bractwo Bartne brings together tree-beekeepers from Poland and Belarus to organize workshops, exchange knowledge and support members in running their tree-hives. They are custodians of tree-beekeeping culture and guardians of the forest. 
Bractwo Bartne is on the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
