Discover Materials working group

Join Dr Mark Coleman and look through his microscope LIVE from Swansea University.

This LIVE microscope session is aimed at Key Stage 3 students (ages 11-14) and will look at everyday objects to see how amazing they look like under the microscope.This session is open to all and backs up the clip-on microscope lens activites that were included in the CoCoMicro Box projects, funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry.The CoCoMicroBox introduces how important materials are in our everyday lives and by knowling the chemistry of them can help materials scientists design new materials and learn to use existing ones in a more sustainable way or to address new global issues.The booklet that acocmpanied the boxes is free for any one download on the following Padlet page and will, eventually, be available on our upcoming website.https://en-gb.padlet.com/DiscoverMaterialsGroup/q1sknabx6yeaoq4
