Graphic Design Course (Online) Ages 18-25 from Cheshire East

At MakoCreate we deliver creative digital art and technology workshops and projects. We also deliver workshops to help teachers, youth workers and trainers to gain a better understanding of the changing world of digital media.

During this five-week online course, participants will take part in weekly graphic design activities, learning new creative skills.

During this five-week course, participants will take part in weekly creative activities, learn new skills, be inspired, learn about pathways into creative careers, share their experiences and skills with others and achieve an Arts Award Discover certificate.Activities Include:<ul><li>Vector Graphics</li><li>Using Fonts</li><li>Colour Schemes + Pallets</li><li>Finding out about Graphic Design Organisations. </li><li>Looking at different pathways into the industry. </li><li>Many more…</li></ul>No previous experience is required, these activities are suitable for young people of all abilities. Who:We are looking for young people from Cheshire East with an interest in the creative sector, who would like to develop their creative and personal skill set. Applicants should be aged between 11 and 25, the course will run for three age ranges, 11-13, 14-17 and 18-25. Young people from Crewe and young people in challenging circumstances will be prioritised.Costs:All of the sessions are completely FREE of charge thanks to funding from the Cheshire East Council and Higher Horizons.In fact, we will give participants a £25 Amazon voucher for successfully completing the course!When:Weekly 2-hour sessions are delivered on Tuesday’s during the Summer holidays.Course Dates: 29th July, 5rd August, 12th August, 19th August, 26th August. <ul><li>Ages 11-13: 12pm-2pm </li><li>Ages 14-17: 3pm-5pm </li><li>Ages 18-25: 6pm-8pm (This Course)</li></ul>Where:This course will be delivered “virtual” (not in-person). Sessions will and will be hosted on Zoom, which is a popular and safe virtual meeting platform.Technical Requirements:The course will be delivered remotely (online), enabling participants to learn from the comfort of their own homes. To be able to do this you will need the following:<ul><li>Access to the internet</li><li>A device to watch the zoom video link (computer/laptop or tablet)</li><li>Another device to take part in the activity (computer/laptop)</li><li>A Google/Gmail account to access Google Classroom. </li></ul>If you don’t have access to this equipment but you are interested in participating, please get in touch via email info@makocreate.co.uk or call us on 0151 345 1419.Apply:Please sign up via this Eventbrite page.
