Who is the event for?

It's for single people living in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

Question 2

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely - the more the merrier. They just need to book and pay for their own ticket. Or, you can book and pay on their behalf (what a great gift!)

Question 3

I'm married and have loads of single friends - I've got FOMO - can I come?

Accepted Answer

This is a space for single people, but we know that lots of people might feel more comfortable with a trusted friend coming along. So, if you're married and are supporting a single friend, then you'd be more than welcome to come.

Question 4

Do I have to arrive at 7.30?

No, everyone has other stuff to do, so you can drop in as and when you can. Obviously the longer you're at the event, the more lovely people you'll meet. But it's not school; you're welcome to come and go as you please.

Question 5

Who are your Solo Connects MK hosts?

Accepted Answer

Solo Connects MK under 35s events are hosted by Grace Spicer, an event manager and keynote speaker who grew up in MK. Grace will be supported by Solo Connects founders, Samantha Poole and Rachel Allen.

Question 6

I'm nervous...

Accepted Answer

You'll be welcomed by your hosts - lots of people say they are nervous, but find that it's very welcoming and relaxed once they arrive! We will run a few ice-breakers and social games, but there's no pressure to join in. There will be lots of time to chat and connect, it will be pretty relaxed.

I'm not hetrosexual - are these events for me?

You're more than welcome to come along to our events if you are looking to grow your social network, but these events are designed for hetrosexual dating. Please email if you have any questions - we want to be inclusive but also want to make sure people have a great experience.

Is this for friendship or dating?

We are here for both. We say it's 'friendship first, dating second' so the idea is to get to know people through our events and mixers and go from there. At our events, we have badges - smily faces for friendship, love hearts for romance and rainbows if you are LGBTQ.
