Organisational Development at University of Sussex

A 90 minute workshop for managers to get a better understanding of having mental health conversations and how to support your staff.

Attend this 90 mins workshop to get a better understanding of the importance of having mental health conversations and how you can support your staff during difficult times. You will be introduced to a practical tool that will help you initiate mental health conversations in a supportive way.

By attending this session you can expect to learn:
- To become more aware of the importance of managing workplace mental wellbeing
- How to spot early warning signs and triggers of mental health issues
- How to have safe and supportive conversations about mental health and wellbeing
- Signpost to further support – including self-help resources in the University and more widely
This workshop will be led by Mariyana Bushara, OD Adviser. Please register using your Sussex email address.Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any specific requirements regarding this staff development activity (e.g. hearing/sight impairment) so that we can do our very best to accommodate your needs.If you are off sick on the day, please let us know or ask a colleague to message us. If you are unable to attend this course now - or nearer the time - please let us know as soon as possible so that your place can be given to someone else. Please note, there is a cancellation charge of £50 per person which will be charged to your Unit for &#x27;no-shows&#x27; on the day, or cancellations made within 3 working days of an event, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
