Climate Prayer Service at Westminster Cathedral Welcoming the YCCN Relay

Join  us to welcome the Young Christian Climate Network Relay to Westminster Cathedral and pray for the success of COP26

Westminster Cathedral

The Young Christian Climate Network (YCCN) is an action-focused community of young Christians in the UK aged 18-30, choosing to follow Jesus in the pursuit of climate justice. As we look ahead to November, with world leaders meeting in Glasgow for important climate negotiations, YCCN are leading a Relay, walking from the G7 in Cornwall (13th June) to COP 26 UN Climate Conference in Glasgow (1st November).As part of the Relay, a number of events are taking place at different churches around London between 5 - 8 August 2021, before the next leg heads onto Birmingham. The Diocese of Westminster is hosting two events on Friday 6 August from 1 to 4pm, as part of our Journey to COP26. All ages welcome.A short Ecumenical Climate Prayer Service to welcome the Relay will take place at Westminster Cathedral, 3.30-4.00pm. There will be an earlier lunch at Farm Street Church, W1K 3AH, 1-2pm, with a chance to meet some of the Relay walkers and hear about their experiences so far. You can then join the Relay by walking from Farm Street to Westminster Cathedral (approx. 45 mins) or take public transport to meet us again there.This will be an afternoon of action, prayer, and reflection.
