Webinar: MSP and Blue Economy Initiatives in Europe and East Asia

This workshop will bring together participants and speakers to discuss issues around MSP and Blue Economies in East Asia and Europe.

The aim of this webinar is to share and exchange knowledge and experiences on how MSP and blue economy initiatives can achieve better management of exclusive economic zones, with a focus on Europe and Japan/East Asia. The event is organised by the University of Liverpool, with support from the Government of Japan. It will be held on 13 October 2021, 09.00 - 12.30 (UK) / 17.00 - 20.30 (Japan). The workshop will begin with a short welcome and introduction to the event, followed by session one, which will focus on introducing MSP in East Asia/Japan, and what progress has been made. The second session will have speakers addressing international and European MSP and blue economy initiatives. The last of the main sessions will cover blue economy opportunities in Japan. All of the main sessions will give the opportunity for Q&amp;A and discussion with speakers. To bring an end to the workshop, there will be a closing session, which will wrap up the days events and summarise the knowledge exchange between Japan and Europe.
