Rising Arts Agency is a social enterprise run by young creative thinkers in Bristol. We advocate for sector and cultural change through research projects, industry consultation and our creative agency services. We also support young artists through a successful mentoring programme, professional development and leadership opportunities to achieve their ambitions.

A collaborative session to explore how we can support young refugee artists and creatives

‘Our Culture’ is a programme by Rising Arts Agency that centres the experiences of young people aged 18-30 who have lived experience of being a refugee or asylum seeker in the South West. Through a series of facilitated conversations, we want to explore how arts, wellbeing and social justice can be truly entwined. As part of this, we want to invite organisations/professionals who work with refugees and asylum seekers to join us for a session on 11th August, 1 - 2pm to help us create an action plan for best practice for supporting refugees and asylum seekers within the art sector. We can offer £50 to cover organisations and young refugees time for attending. The session will be facilitated by Rediat Abayneh alongside the Rising Team.
