AME (Art.Music.Experiment) based in Huddersfield West Yorkshire, is an international creative hub that supports experimental music and art. We commission new work from the most innovative composers and sound artists, providing concerts, installations, educational projects and artists-in-residence programs, working together with local venues and organisations.

“Between the ears” focuses on the listening practice through (musical) games and text. You will create own sound with Liew, score and explore them collectively, followed by a round-table discussion afterward. The experience will be articulated in three parts 1— tuning our body and mind into a calm and conscious mode by doing light/ breathing exercises. 2— warming up our ears with sound. 3— exploring game strategies and integrate them into our score. ------------------The workshop will take place via Zoom; attendees will receive a private link through the email used for booking in advance of the event. Tickets are free and space is limited to 15 participants.This session will last around 30 - 40 minutes, followed by 10 -20 minutes open for a discussion.This sessions is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.Anyone with no experience or knowledge welcome. We are sending the Zoom link for the event out via the email address used to book your ticket - please check your spam folders. Liew Niyomkarn is sound and interdisciplinary artist. Liew’s work takes a critical view of geography’s historical roots, often referencing rituals, co-existence between human and non- human being, and audio culture. Coming from sound experimental practice and performance, Liew records sound from urban and nature areas, employs various medium such as text, drawing and video, come together to reconfigure story into performance and objects forms. www.liewniyomkarn.com
