Ironclad was created in 2020 as a place for writers, artists and theatre-makers to find each other, learn about the business of making art, and develop their skills.Founded by producer and writer couple Michelle Allen and Andrew Allen, after running the Cast Iron Theatre company for over seven years, Ironclad’s mission is to support, signpost and provide spaces where people can build community, write, make, discuss and learn.We know how hard it is to make connections, network and learn about how to get paid for what you do.We want to support all people and are especially interested in making sure that our work reaches people who currently have low incomes, or come from low income backgrounds.We’re also neurodivergent and know that being creative and neurodivergent adds additional complexities and barriers to networking, making and putting your work into the world.We have a mix of free events and some have a cost - which we try to keep as low as possible.Members of our community - Creative Cauldron (£12 per month) get tons of our events for free - or at a 20% discount plus our own Discord server to chat to friends and peers on. Let's get WRITING! One hour writing retreat - ZOOM - co-working

It's time to write! NOTE: We're not holding our usual 1st Sunday of the month MARATHON in August.AS Andrew &amp; Michelle are taking Sundays off during AUGUST - Your host will be the wonderful Ali Gallo. Ali has lived in Africa and now Malaysia, which taught her that running water,internet and cheese are luxuries that should not be taken for granted. She writes plays, books, blogs and shopping lists – not necessarily in that order. She’s currently working on her next book when not distracted by shiny objects.How the SUNDAY WRITING SPRINT WORKSAt 11am (BST) we'll all log onto our FREE* zoom event and tell each other our intentions for the hour (feel free to leave your camera off if you don't fancy showing your face on a Sunday morning).Then we all write for an hour - leaving our cameras on or not, our choice - checking in with each other on the Zoom Chat. It's lovely, it works and helps to know that others are writing too! See you there!
