HR for SMEs.Network

Why don’t managers and team members engage fully with the appraisal process?

In this engaging session, we explore the reasons why appraisals are not seen as an annual high, but as a tiresome chore that needs to be carried out to get HR off the case. Furthermore, the key components of objective setting and learning are often debased because of time constraints or lack of interest.During this session you will discover a new way of managing the process and of helping others to manage the process in a way that is exciting, motivating and action driven for both parties, making it an essential element of your performance management strategy and system. We will provide you with a new way of thinking about the appraisal process and several key methods that will transform these important (but often neglected) conversations.Simplicity, engagement and responsibility are key, find out more by attending.Presenter: Robin Lodge from Robin Lodge Associates Ltd.Robin is a highly experienced trainer and speaker with over 35 years industry experience in leadership working with clients such as Sony, Zurich, BP, Peel Ports and many other household names. He has a relaxed, no-nonsense style of delivery that is both challenging and supportive. In his time, he has not only delivered management and organisational change programmes but also designed and implemented them, managing up to 100 trainers at any one time.He also developed and ran the two largest ILM centres in the UK and is currently a centre for the Institute of Leadership and management in his own right. He is currently working with several SMEs to transform their people management to not only improve the bottom line but to improve the lives of the people working there with simple yet effective techniques and tools.
