Trust The People

This workshop is a teaser trailer for TTP's community organising course with a focus on taking those first steps to connect with neighbours.

Trust the People is a community of change-makers that emerged during lockdown, committed to building a real deliberative democracy from the ground up. Starting very small with neighbourhood groups and mutual aid societies and slowly federating to bigger and bigger things - bit by bit building the world we want to live in.In this 2 hour workshop, you'll learn a bit more about Trust The People's vision, and how you can be involved to make your dreams for a changed community a reality.

If you've ever wanted to get to know your neighbours better, or are thinking seriously about mobilising strong groups to deal with what's to come - but you're stuck wondering how on Earth to get started, then this is the workshop for you!

We'll gently guide you through what is just a taste of the wisdom of the course and through some interactive exercises encourage you to manifest your hopes and dreams and get a plan together for how to achieve them.

Wherever you are on the spectrum of grassroots organizing, we're excited to meet you!
