Community Climate Champion Launch Event

We’re hosting a virtual launch event for our much anticipated Community Climate Champion scheme.

The event aims to promote the public launch of the Community Climate Champion programme, which aims to build a network of community groups across the county and empower them to take action against climate change and increase biodiversity. Over the past 6 months, the climate change team have been working with a pilot group of 10 communities across our rural and urban landscape. The team will be presenting their findings from the pilot scheme and inviting some of the pilot champions to talk about their experiences.Timings are as follows:5.00pm Welcome from our chair, leader of NCC, Cllr Glen Sanderson5.05pm Introduction to the programme from climate change director, Matt Baker5.10pm Presentation laying out findings from pilot scheme and structure of programme going forward from NCC engagement officers5.25pm Guest panel discussion with champions from pilot scheme5.55pm Question and answer session6.25pm Closing wordsRegistration will close 12noon on 29 September.
