Storytelling training for climate activists in Wales

The current climate crisis offers one of the most serious challenges we face today. But despite the clear evidence and the scientific case for tackling climate change having been made, why do we still find it challenging to get audiences to take real and meaningful action on the climate crisis? And what can we do about this, especially in light of the urgency of this situation? We need a new approach. We need to become better storytellers.Ministory will be running a series of workshops to help develop your storytelling skills so that you can reach out to new and ‘cold’ audiences to motivate and engage them on taking action on climate action. These workshops are specifically designed for climate activists, ambassadors, communicators, volunteers and campaign managers working on tackling climate change here in Wales.This fourth and final training module will explore the idea of working from a new story. With so many organisations and businesses sending out similar communications on climate action, how do we tell a new story that sets us apart from the over-saturated and same tired story of climate change action? How do we move to a more positive and empowering story, that still holds the tension of the seriousness of this crisis, while reaching out to new audiences to take action on climate change?This training is being delivered by specialist storytelling experts Ministory, in partnership with Climate Cymru and Stop Climate Chaos Wales.
