On the 25th of November 2025 the North London Foundation Trust invites you to a one-day conference to mark the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women which was designated in December 1999 by the UN General Assembly.As a Trust that is committed to becoming a Trauma Informed Organisation we acknowledge and recognise the impact of all forms of violence against women and girls. This acknowledgement includes providing women only services, having a Women's Charter, a formal leadership network for addressing VAWG- the AR-DSA (Awareness and Response to domestic and sexual abuse) network, a Women's Lead post (Shirley McNicholas ), two Domestic Abuse Practitioners ( Maneek Sahota and Anna Young in the safeguarding teams) and investment in a designated Named Doctor for Adult Safeguarding in the Camden &amp; Islington Broughs, Dr Philippa Greenfield, who is also Joint Presidential Lead for Women and Mental Health at the Royal College of Psychiatrists and provides input to the STADA national Health and Domestic Abuse Leadership Group.This day will include sessions on domestic and sexual abuse presented by the above leads and networks, working in partnership with women with lived experiences and colleagues working across the Integrated Care Board (ICB) on specialist areas such as non- fatal strangulation.
