Our Digital Halton Creative Skills programme (thanks to funding from European Social Fund) provides FREE training opportunities in Digital Arts &amp; Technology skills for unemployed adults aged 19+ who live in Halton (Widnes &amp; Runcorn etc.).Attendance:This short course consists of 7 weekly sessions; the first is 1 hour long and the remaining 6 sessions are 2 hours each.Running on a Thursdays - Dates: 04.11.2021, 11.11.2021, 18.11.2021, 25.11.2021, 02.12.2021, 09.12.2021, 16.12.2021.Time: 10am-11am (Week 1), 10am-12pm (Weeks 2-7)Who is this course for?This course is for learners who are interested in gaining a basic understanding of marketing and audiences across digital platforms. Great if you are interested in developing creative skills, setting up your own business, developing your skills for a future job, further education or career opportunities. What will be covered?<ul><li>Understanding Target Audiences</li><li>Developing Brand Awareness</li><li>How to Identify and Research Competitors </li><li>Introduction To Marketing Platforms</li><li>Creating Basic Graphics for Online Marketing Materials</li><li>Industry expert guest speaker (Q&amp;A)</li><li>Identifying career paths in Digital Marketing</li></ul>Through expert tuition, small class sizes, and access to a variety of digital tools and technology, this project will open up a world of opportunities to you when you discover that you can develop the skills necessary to consider a future in the Digital Arts and Technology industry.How will I be assessed?This is a non-accredited course, however, linked to the Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA) framework you will be expected to build up a portfolio that will be assessed by your tutor against the course criteria.There will be a variety of activities and it is a great opportunity to meet new people. You will be given supportive feedback from your tutor on a weekly basis to help you develop your skills. During these sessions, you will be encouraged to further enhance your skills and knowledge outside of the classroom, by completing the iDEA (inspiring digital enterprise award) award Silver.What are the entry requirements?You will be required to complete some written work as part of this course which will require a good basic understanding of English and Maths. You will also need to be able to work on multiple tabs on a computer at once and have a good basic understanding of using different software packages such as Word (microsoft), Google docs, Pages (Mac OS), internet browsers etc. Participants will be required to set up online social network accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and accounts on other online marketing systems (e.g. Email Marketing, Graphic Editing Apps, Social Media Management Tools). You will not be able to complete the course without this - but we will advise you which accounts you will need during the course.
