Come and join a 'Beccy Owen Pop-Up Choirs' event to launch High Street Duets!

Lancaster Grand Theatre

We want YOU to help us launch High Street Duets in Lancaster!On Sunday 12th September we will be launching a series of songs inspired by conversations with people in North Shields and Lancaster. Written by Beccy Owen and Daniel Bye, four brand new songs explore connections and contrasts between these two Northern high streets. The impact of shipping – both maritime and Amazon Prime – and the dreams, hopes and stories of local people. Come along at 11.30am-1pm for a Beccy Owen&#x27;s Pop-Up Choir rehearsal at central location in Lancaster (tbc). You’ll get a chance to learn a few of the songs and sing together before we perform live at 1pm and 2pm as part of the ‘Something’s Happening Here’ event in the Mill Race area (car park next to the Lancaster Grand Theatre, St Leonard’s Gate, Lancaster, Lancashire, LA1 1NL)No previous experience or perceived musical ability is necessary!We promise fun, good music, laughter and light refreshments! All welcome! Covid-19 Measures - you are encouraged to wear a mask when moving around the rehearsal venue. There will be sanitisation stations in place that we ask you to use on arrival and regularly during the rehearsal. The capacity of the rehearsal will also be limited to allow for adequate social distancing. The two performances take place outdoors.
