COLLISIONS is an annual research festival to engage with what it means to be researching with, through, in and by practice.

COLLISIONS invites postgraduate students at Central and elsewhere interested in developing practice research alongside others, to share short work in a semiformal setting, and contribute to furthering the conversation around the field of practice research.For this year’s edition of COLLISIONS, we are asking what the process of COLLISION offers:<ul><li>A temporal rupture, an unstable interval, a threshold.</li><li>A meeting of contradictory logics, forms, bodies, or disciplines.</li><li>A shock, disorientation, or renewal.</li><li>A fragmentation: splintering dominant narratives, unmaking hierarchies, dismantling norms.</li><li>A deconstruction: unravelling material, temporal, spatial, or ideological structures.</li><li>A moment of friction, refusal, or radical reassembly.</li><li>A beginning, an end, or a work-in-progress.</li><li>Bang!</li></ul>We invite you to propose your own Collision.At COLLISIONS you may experience:<ul><li>Performances</li></ul><ul><li>Participatory practices</li></ul><ul><li>Presentations, lecture performances/performance lectures</li></ul><ul><li>Performative acts</li></ul><ul><li>Workshops</li></ul><ul><li>Film/Media installation</li></ul><ul><li>Posters or images suitable for gallery display</li></ul><ul><li>Any other forms of practice that might expand the boundaries of a practice research festival</li></ul>Refreshments: Lunch will be provided on Wednesday 24 September, with vegetarian and vegan options available - Lunch will not be provided on Thursday 25 September.
