Join Bishop Chris Edmondson for a discussion evening about hearing from God, exploring our sense of calling and wondering if this may be to serve in church ministry.

The Rt Revd Chris Edmondson

Bishop Chris is an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Leeds, living with his wife Susan in Bradford. His last post before ‘retirement’, was in the Diocese of Manchester, where for 8 years, he was the Bishop of Bolton. Prior to this, Chris served in a a variety of parish and diocesan posts in the Dioceses of Wakefield, Carlisle and Bradford. He was also for six years Warden of the Lee Abbey Community and Conference Centre in North Devon.


Bishop Chris is a published author in the areas of leadership, mission and community and in recent years with his co-author, Karen Openshaw, has written ‘Mindfulness as Mission Gift’, ‘Mindful Devotions : a 40 day journey through the Bible’, and in 2025 ‘Self-loveD’ : mindful journeys in learning to love God, neighbour AND self’.


A musician and sports enthusiast, Bishop Chris is Chaplain to the Yorkshire County Cricket Club, and a season ticket holder at Bradford City.

We gather at 7pm and we will finish no later than 9pm. Tea and Coffee will be provided.
