Our climate action journey starts here: share an evening of inspiration as we hear the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things

<h3>A rebel Reverend, a pedal powered curry house, and a women on a mission to plant 50,000 acorns: three ordinary people with inspiring stories of climate and nature action to share are joining us to launch The Something Club. </h3>We&#x27;ll hear about their journeys as climate leaders in their own lives and communities, before working together through an interactive exercise to better understand how we can each better understand our own role in creating change. . Our guests for the launch party are:Reverend Sue Parfitt. Sue is a retired Anglican priest who has made headlines for her multiple arrests taking part in direct action with <a href="https://christianclimateaction.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Christian Climate Action</a> to urge the government to act on climate change. Anshu Ahuja. Anshu is the cofounder of <a href="https://dabbadrop.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DabbaDrop</a>, a unique planet-minded takeaway offering zero waste curries delivered by bike. Alex Mackenzie. Alex is the founder and coordinator of <a href="https://www.thelostwoods.earth/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Lost Woods</a>, a project bringing climate optimism and learning to life by helping pupils and Glasgow plant a children&#x27;s woodland for the future. This event is free, and everyone attending will receive a free month of Something Club membership (or a free month to gift to a friend if already a member). What is The Something Club?The Something Club is an online community where everyone becomes a climate leader, and everyone is welcome. It’s a space for members to explore what climate action means to them and create incredible change - close to home, in their community and beyond. We believe that responding to the climate and nature crisis needs everyone, so while members have the option to pay a monthly membership fee to support the project, our Buy One Give One subscription model means that anyone can attend, regardless of their ability to pay.
