Get It Done is a community arts organisation based in Manchester and London. Get It Done works directly with communities to facilitate creative projects, workshops and events to create measurable social change, and upskills young people with the tools to lead impactful projects themselves and professionalise their creative practices.

Join Manchester Central Foodbank and Get It Done for the People's Takeover of Piccadilly Gardens as part of their campaign Placemaking Piccadilly.Placemaking Piccadilly is a community arts campaign striving for a new vision for Piccadilly Gardens and Manchester's public spaces; a vision that addresses inequalities in our city, meets the needs of its citizens and is inclusive to all.How do you feel about Piccadilly Gardens? Does the square meet your needs? What would you like to change?We’ll be embracing the traditions and potential of the public square in a Public Assembly; by bringing the voices and artwork of people across Greater Manchester, sparking new conversations about what a post-pandemic city and world should look like, sharing our experiences of the past 18 months and addressing the barriers that people face when accessing public spaces. We will have fun, creative activities for all ages, with a line-up of events going on throughout the day. Most of our activities are DROP-IN unless stated otherwise, so please come along for an hour or so and enjoy what we've got on. 10AM - CREATIVE DROP-INAll day you can come along to design your dream Piccadilly Gardens, share your opinion on how to make the space more suitable and contribute to our podcast. 11AM - INVISIBLE (MANCHESTER) CITY TOUR (BOOKING REQUIRED)At 11am we’ll be joined by Invisible (Manchester) for a free alternative tour of the city, from their tour guides with previous experiences of homelessness. NO PREVIOUS ARTISTIC EXPERTISE OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
