Fundraiser Screening of Mother City, a Documentary

Aylesham Community Action (ACA) sprang up in summer 2020 in response to proposals for the Aylesham site in Peckham town centre.Berkeley Homes bought the site in summer 2021 from the previous owners, Blackrock. The ACA campaigns for local people to be properly consulted, and for the new development to meet local need and to respond to the character of Peckham town centre.

Suggested £10 donation for entry to event, pay what you can.Join this fundraiser event for Aylesham Commutity Action.Land for people not for profit from Cape Town to Peckham, a fundraiser screening of Mother City, a documentary.This is a donation screening following by conversations with the Director, Aylesham Community Action [Peckham], Reclaim the City [Cape Town], and Black History Walks [London].Exploring Cape Town's history with apartheid, the story follow a social movement fighting for affordable housing to make the city more inclusive Black Africans.Fundraiser Screening You will be able to make donations on the night, and we will be selling t-shirts and postcards.PECKHAM IS NOT FOR SALE!Aylesham Community Action is a grass roots community group preparing for a landmark battle!Berkeley Homes want to build 16 luxury towers in the middle of Peckham with only 50 social rent homes out of 867.Thousands have objected to Berkeley's proposals, including our local councillors and MP! Our community campaign convinced Southwark Council to reject Berkeley's application.
