HCZF: Drink & Draw

The Hackney Comic + Zine Fair is a celebration of sequential art and the people who make it. This year our fair will host 90 astonishingly talented exhibitors showcasing a huge range of genres, styles, themes and approaches to making comics and zines – all housed on our website as a digital event from September 4th until September 30th 2021 – plus a series of talks, workshops and events both online and in-person.

Join our three guest artists for some drinks as they set prompts for everyone to draw along with for the chance to win prizes.

Brunswick East

The famous Gosh Comics / Broken Frontier Drink and Draw returns to the real world! After 18 months of the event being exclusively online due to the pandemic, this is the first time Drink and Draw has been back in a physical event in a while. And we’re delighted to welcome HCZF exhibitors Shiqian Pan, Beatrice Mossman and Sharp Txngue as the guest artists.The way it works is our three talented guests will set prompts and the audience will then have 20 minutes to draw a response, with the favourite for each round being awarded a comic-themed prize. It’s the taking part that is really important though, and it will be a very laid back chance to get together, have some drinks and draw some pictures.Attendance is free but spaces are limited, so please RSVP.
