Portland Castle

Meet in the Portland Castle car park at 11 am
Liberty Rd, Castletown, Portland DT5 1AZ

Approx one and a half to two hours depending on the fitness of walkers. 

Dog friendly.
Not good for wheelchairs.
The route takes you up the incline (which is also the current coast path), good sea views and steep terrain. Past the Royal Naval cemetery which has some Commonwealth War Graves and is beautifully kept. And along to the blocked path, which is full of blackberries and sloes and shows why we need a round-island path. Then back to the castle, with possible optional extra to go to the Sailing Academy.
