Having energy champions in your community brings a number of benefits:<ul><li>A place for those in fuel poverty to get help to get out of fuel debt and onto better tariffs</li><li>A way to ensure the vulnerable are on the priority services register and have access to available grants and discounts</li><li>A conduit to find routes to eco retrofit</li><li>A way to build up expertise about the needs of buildings and householders in your community</li></ul>Expert local knowledge gives local community energy groups a stronger and more authoritative voice. Enabling groups to come together, represent their communities and create innovative projects. Come and hear <ul><li>how a new CE group has established a team of energy champions,</li><li>the highs and lows of energy championing from a 10year + perspective</li><li> the resources available for Champions in different areas</li><li>about an exciting whole village retrofit project</li></ul>At the end of this session we hope to bring together a group of communities to put in a funding bid for building a network of championsPlease join us, find out more and let us know your interest in taking things further
