Prior to coming to Swansea, she was a resident fellow at the IMERA - Institute of Advanced Study of Aix Marseille University in France and an assistant professor at the International Relations Department of Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Her teaching and research interests span the state, society, conflict and politics in the Middle East and North Africa, social movements, upheavals and (trans-)formation of collective identities in the age of globalization, the limits of neoliberal governmentality outside of the Western realm, critical realist philosophy and non-Western and alternative globalist geopolitical discourses.Gregoris Ioannou is a sociologist, faculty member at the University of Sheffield, and an external Expert for Eurofound and for the European Commission. He was previously employed as a Researcher at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on labour relations and trade unionism, class conflicts and contentious politics. His latest research monograph, titled “Employment, Trade Unionism and Class: The Labour Market in Southern Europe since the Crisis” was published by Routledge in 2021.  Neophytos Loizides is Professor in International Conflict Analysis at the University of Kent. He has previously taught at Queen’s University Belfast and Princeton University and held fellowships at the University of Essex and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Professor Loizides is the author of The Politics of Majority Nationalism: Framing Peace, Stalemates, and Crises, Stanford Press (2015), Designing Peace: Cyprus and Institutional Innovations in Divided Societies, University of Pennsylvania Press (2016), and Mediating Power-Sharing, Routledge (2018 with Feargal Cochrane and Thibaud Bodson). Eugenia Siapera is Professor of Information and Communication Studies and head of the ICS School at UCD. Prior to this, she has held positions at DCU, Aristotle University, Greece, University of Leicester, UK and University of Amsterdam, NL. Her research interests are in the area of digital and social media, political communication and journalism. She has recently completed an IRC-funded project on racist hate speech in the Irish digital sphere, and is also working on a project on the digital memory of conflict (RePAST) funded by the European Commission. She has written numerous articles and book chapters, and her most recent book is Understanding New Media (Sage, 2018, second edition). She is currently working on an edited volume on Gendered Cyber Hate (Palgrave, 2019) with Debbie Ging.Myria Georgiou is Professor in Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Adopting a comparative and interdisciplinary approach, she is committed to putting the human of the urban, transnationally connected world at the core of her research. Specifically, in research conducted across 6 countries over the last 20 years, she has been studying communication practices and media representations that profoundly, but unevenly, shape meanings and experiences of citizenship and identity. Georgiou is the author and editor of five books, including Diaspora, Identity and the Media (2006); Media and the City: Cosmopolitanism and Difference (2013); and The Sage Handbook of Media and Migration (2020, ed., with K. Smets, K. Leurs, S. Witteborn and R.
