Smart Energy GB is the not-for-profit, government-backed campaign helping everyone in Britain understand the importance of smart meters and their benefits to people and the environment.Our national campaign is reaching homes and small businesses across England, Scotland and Wales.

How will the ways that people live, work and engage with their energy use be different in 2035?

Smart meters are already helping people to better understand and manage their energy use in the home. Speakers on the panel, including industry experts from Citizens Advice, Energy Systems Catapult, the Smart Data Communications Company (DCC) and Howz, will explore future benefits that connected technologies, enabled by smart meters, can bring to our lives including health monitoring, automated peer-to-peer energy trading and artificial intelligence home management. We’ll also examine the opportunities for decarbonised and decentralised energy networks, and discuss the changes needed to make the digital energy system of the future a reality – helping to benefit all consumers, including those struggling with fuel poverty.
