St Giles' Cathedral

Ken Cockburn has lived in Edinburgh for thirty years, and led poetry walks in the Old Town for thirteen. This pamphlet gathers poems he has read in the course of his poetry walks, about sites in the city from the 15th century St Triduana’s Chapel to the 21st century Scottish parliament. They also present figures from across the centuries, including Deacon Brodie, Robert Adam and the poet’s daughter, aged four. Poems with Edinburgh settings by Victor Hugo and Theodor Fontane appear here in English translation for the first time.We&#x27;ll meet outside St Giles Cathedral, and walk down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Park. On the way Ken will read poems from the pamphlet.Please note ticket numbers are limited, so early booking is advised.Copies will be available to buy on the day for just £5.00 (normally £7.00). You can also buy a copy here, via Eventbrite, and I&#x27;ll bring your copy with me on the day.
