Discover Leicester with our sociable group walks. From green spaces to waterways and urban trails, Leicester is fantastic to explore on foot.

<h3>Group Walk: Stoneygate - its people and places</h3><h3>Saturday 1 November at 11am</h3><h3>Starting outside Stoneygate Baptist Church, London Road. (Bus stop nearby) What3Words location: ///candy.noted.former</h3><h3>Up to 90 minutes. Steady pace. 1.2 miles.</h3>A repeat of the walk first offered in August this year. Join us for a walk through the attractive suburb of Stoneygate, discovering some of its former residents and places of heritage interest. Formerly farmland, the area underwent development from the mid-19th centrury to become one of Leicester's most desirable locations. Alternatively, phone 0116 454 2822 (this is a temporary phone line, as our usual number is currently down). Please note our phone line is answered during office hours only (Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm), not at weekends or bank holidays. Adult places must be booked. Booking is not required for children. Children are welcome to attend, however they must be accompanied by an adult.If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel via Eventbrite or contact us by phone (during office hours)so we can allow others the opportunity to attend.TravelLondon Road is served by buses. The nearest bus stops to Stoneygate Baptist Church are the 'Toller Road' and 'Knighton Road' stops on London Road. You will receive an email with a link to the online form in the days leading up to the event. You only need to do this once and can attend any of our walks thereafter (subject to booking a place on Eventbrite).Dress for the weatherRemember to dress appropriately for the weather. Our group walks will go ahead in most weather.
