Go Meet, Abingdon The Impact of Domestic Abuse in the workplace
To find out more about this event, or chat to us about being a guest speaker, please email events@mantle.co.uk
We are delighted that this month our guest speaker is Emma Teasdale.
75% of domestic abuse victims say the abuse follows them into the workplace — making this not just a personal issue, but a business one.
Join us to hear from Emma, Community and Friends Officer at Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse, as she shares how employers can better support their teams and create safer, more informed workplaces.
Emma leads the DA Friends Initiative, empowering communities through a simple but powerful approach: Listen, Link and Lend a Hand. She will also introduce Business Friends, a new initiative designed to help organisations take practical steps in supporting employees affected by domestic abuse.
With a background spanning military family support, community engagement, and healthcare advocacy, Emma brings a wealth of real-world experience — from supporting Armed Forces families across multiple bases to ensuring patient voices were heard within health and social care services.
Employers have a duty of care to protect the wellbeing of their people — and that includes understanding and responding to domestic abuse.
Join us to learn how this issue could be impacting your business, and what you can do about it.
