Maria is an ANFT Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide and Coach, EcoNidra Teacher, Therapetic writing teacher, story weaving facilitator and Mindfulness/ Compassion Teacher.She is the founder of Mindful Connections where she facilitates both individual, group and private experiences to help increase balance, stillness and much needed rest.She works with public groups, 1:1 individualised coaching & mentoring and private teams to help promote  wellbeing, balance and resilience.After a period of work related burn out in 2001 and 2002, Maria found a path to her own restoration during a solo journey along the West Coast of Ireland.She is dedicated to helping  others find their own balance, stillness and rediscovery through the healing power of Nature and Connection, natural silence and self care practices.

This year we are offering a full day retreat at Owlett Plantation and our residential retreat is back at Avebury Stone Circle and ancient woodlands the following April

We are back at this great location for another weekend of pausing, connecting, sharing and simply wonderful time out of our busy lives.This retreat will offer a blend of meditations, mindfulness, journalling, creativity and nature and forest bathing and not forgetting great intentional conversation. *** Just 2 spaces left ***Most people arrive on the Friday afternoon and this is a great time to start your relaxation. We will provide you with details of where we will be on this first evening, here we will meet for introductions and an outline of how the weekend will take shape, timings etc and what will be needed. We will be having our evening meal here and you are more than welcome to stay for a bite to eat or if you would prefer simply to take this time to settle in to your environment.At our last adventure here, everyone found their own accomodation and the accomodation chosen worked well for each attendee. We will spend our first day at the wonderful site of Avebury Stone Circle.We will provide you with meeting instructions on our first eve.✨We will explore the history of this Bronze Age ceremonial site✨We will meditate within the circle and listen to our wisdoms✨ We will journal, be creative and create our own mementos.✨ We will experience our own circle of ceremony Evening : We will stroll along the infamous stone avenue, then you will be guided through a deep relaxation of EcoNIDRA within the circle as the sun goes down on the day. OPTIONAL: We will arrange to meet for an evening meal at one of the local pubs for great food, company and to enjoy deep intentional conversations. This is optional as we want to cater for all budgets.

🌳 Day two at West Woods / Savernake Forest 🌳 The history of the forest goes back for a thousand years or more! Its long history has left us with an outstanding legacy of old trees, rich landscapes and diverse habitats. One of the countries oldest trees, the Big Bellied Oak, is very noticeable on the side of the A346. ✨ You will be guided through a full and extended Nature &amp; Forest Therapy Session - a beautiful nature immersion.'When did you last immerse yourself in nature? Listen to the birds in a forest? or walk barefoot on the earth? The holistic power of connecting with nature is well documented. It lowers stress, increases immunity, improves sleep, overall happiness and wellbeing. Although we know the importance of connection - it can feel hard to find this time to totally immerse. Simply not needing to worry about our to do list, or time or feeling guilty for not being there for someone else. This dedicated time is just perfect for our own self care. Disconnecting from all distractions to fully connect with ourselves and our natural world. These sessions leave me with a sense of aliveness, renewal and revitalisation.We will also see ifwe can find some of the ancient listed trees located within this forest. Last time we only found one - but we did track what we believed to be a red deer! You will need suitable clothing for time of year and weather conditions and appropriate walking footwear A packed lunch and nibbles for along the way.The day will end approx 3pm to ensure you can travel back to your home destinations at leisure.

Limited to 8 places.£120 for the two daysWe have again left accomodation and food arrangements to you to ensure that this is as affordable as can be and can suit a wider range of budgets. Food, accommodation and travel is not includedPre booking essential.There are some great B &amp; B rooms and twin rooms, Hotels and Camp Sites around this entire area.

All of our events run with a minimum of 4 participants. In the event of fewer numbers, we will postpone the event and you will be offered either a full refund or a transfer to the alternative dates. You will be informed of this, no later than 4 weeks prior to the event starting.CANCELLATIONSCancellations in writing up until 4 weeks prior to the event starting will be offered a refund in full.Cancellations between 4 weeks and 14 days prior to the event will be offered an alternative date or events to choose from. Cancellations after this date (to ensure that this does not affect other participants) will not be offered either a refund or alternative date/event.
