Amneet and Manisha from Aasha Training are delighted to welcome you to this three hour module focussed on culturally aligned baby loss and pregnancy after loss. Aasha Training delivers two modules - this is part 2 of 2. This module explores the impacts of culture, faith and community for Global Majority families who have experienced baby loss and/or pregnancy after loss. This module is suitable for all professionals working with families who are experiencing a new pregnancy after the death of a baby previously in pregnancy or shortly after birth. This includes midwives and student midwives, neonatal professional, early pregnancy professionals, A &amp; E professionals, perinatal mental health teams and other birth workers. About the trainers:Amneet is a mum who has been through pregnancy after loss and someone who cares deeply about working to support those pregnant after loss and their families. She is the author of ‘Understanding South Asian Baby Loss’ and the chair and founder of charity ‘Willow’s Rainbow Box.’ Amneet is also a former Maternity Voices Partnership chair and has extensive experience in organising and facilitating training within the maternity sector. Manisha is a South Asian Muslim mum of 3 boys. She has lived experience of perinatal mental health and is also the co-founder of Support ME CIC. Manisha has years of experience in supporting families who have experienced baby loss and/or through pregnancy after loss as well as experience working as an NHS Maternity and Neonatal Senior Advocate. Manisha also has extensive experience in developing and delivering training in Culturally Aligned Practice, and is a culturally and faith aligned counsellor who specialises in perinatal mental health and baby loss. About the training:The module will contain a range of interactive and thought provoking activities, videos and content informed by families with lived experience covering: <ul><li>Barriers and challenges</li><li>Religion, faith and pregnancy after loss</li><li>Family experiences</li><li>Offering culturally aligned support</li></ul> Aims:This is an introductory workshop where you will begin to:<ul><li>Identify and explore the cultural, systemic, and interpersonal barriers families face following baby loss.</li><li>Understand the impact of intergenerational trauma on grief and help-seeking behaviours.</li><li>Reflect on the influence of religion, faith, and spiritual beliefs on experiences of baby loss and pregnancy after loss.</li><li>Listen to and centre family voices about what culturally aligned care looks and feels like.</li><li>Build skills in offering respectful, culturally sensitive, and equitable support to bereaved families.</li></ul> Our training will be delivered using Microsoft Teams.
