Amneet and Manisha from Aasha Training are delighted to welcome you to this two hour workshop focussed on pregnancy after loss, in partnership and fully funded by Abigail's Footsteps.Aasha Training delivers two workshops - this is part 1 of 2. This workshop is suitable for all professionals working with families who are experiencing a new pregnancy after the death of a baby previously in pregnancy or shortly after birth. This includes midwives and student midwives, neonatal professionals, early pregnancy professionals, A &amp; E professionals, perinatal mental health teams and other birth workers. About the trainers:Amneet is a mum who has been through pregnancy after loss and someone who cares deeply about working to support those pregnant after loss and their families. She is the author of ‘Understanding South Asian Baby Loss’ and the chair and founder of charity ‘Willow’s Rainbow Box.’ Amneet is also a former Maternity Voices Partnership chair and has extensive experience in organising and facilitating training within the maternity sector. Manisha is a South Asian Muslim mum of 3 boys. She has lived experience of perinatal mental health and is also the co-founder of Support ME CIC. Manisha has years of experience in supporting families who have experienced baby loss and/or through pregnancy after loss as well as experience working as an NHS Maternity and Neonatal Senior Advocate. Manisha also has extensive experience in developing and delivering training in Culturally Aligned Practice, and is a culturally and faith aligned counsellor who specialises in perinatal mental health and baby loss. About the training:The workshop will contain a range of interactive and thought provoking activities, videos and content informed by families with lived experience covering:<ul><li>Language and terminology.</li><li>Family experiences of pregnancy after loss - what families want professionals to know about pregnancy after loss.</li><li>Dads, other parents and the wider family.</li><li>Trauma informed care.</li><li>Supporting families and coping strategies.</li></ul> Aims:This is an introductory workshop where you will begin to:<ul><li>Explore inclusive language and terminology when working with families during pregnancy after loss.</li><li>Understand the lived experiences of families navigating pregnancy after loss, including what they want professionals to know.</li><li>Recognise the roles and needs of dads, non-birthing parents, and the wider family network.</li><li>Develop knowledge of trauma-informed approaches when supporting families in subsequent pregnancies.</li><li>Identify and share practical coping strategies and support mechanisms for families during pregnancy after loss.</li></ul> Our training will be delivered using Microsoft Teams.
