Students/Sponsors/GU Devs - Do I need to verify my ticket before the event?

Yes – all verification happens during registration on Eventbrite. You’ll be asked to provide either your student ID or work email (depending on your ticket type). Failure to provide this information will mean cancellation of your ticket.

Can I buy multiple tickets at once?

Yes – but if you’re purchasing for others, please ensure you enter their correct name and email address. Each attendee must have their own ticket.

What if I’m both a student and work at a studio?

Register under the category that best fits your main role (student or studio). Verification only happens once per ticket type, so please choose one.

Can under 16s attend the festival?

Yes – under 16s are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket (General Admission or another applicable category) and have a free 'Under 16s Pass' (which can be added to any of our ticket groups)

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer them to another person by updating the name and email on your Eventbrite booking.

Is there an age limit?

The festival welcomes all ages. Some talks may be best suited to ages 16+, but there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy. Under 16s must attend with an adult.

So far, we’ve announced an incredible mix of voices for guildford.games festival 2026, including Hilmar Veigar Pétursson (CCP Games) as our keynote, alongside panellists Peter Molyneux (22cans), Chris Roberts (Stellar Entertainment), James Brooksby (Absolutely Games), Ben Board (Epic Games), Sam Swain (Apparance) and Ava Oppenheimer (TryIto) - with many more speakers, panels and sessions still to be revealed. It’s shaping up to be one of our strongest line-ups yet, spanning indie, AAA, tools, tech and community!

With playable demos, live sessions, networking and community meetups, the festival brings together fans and creators to celebrate Guildford’s legacy as the “Hollywood of Games.”
