Join us for a screening of five new documentary shorts about Latinx Americans living with HIV in England

Funded by Public Health England, '<a href="https://www.mymessagetoyou.info/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">My Message To You</a>' is a collaboration between <a href="https://metrocharity.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">METRO Charity</a>, <a href="https://www.naz.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NAZ</a>, and Mexican HIV activist artist, Roberto Tovar, founder of <a href="https://www.numerodeserie.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Numero de Serie</a>. Together, we have produced five short documentary-style films under the title ‘My Message To You’.The films feature Latinx Americans living with HIV in England and offer viewers a glimpse of what it is like to live with HIV in 2021. In each film, participants describe the challenges that they have faced for living with HIV, as well as how their experience has helped define their sense of self and outlook on life going forward.We are now partnering up with Cine Brazil to deliver our Message To You! <a href="https://www.instagram.com/cine.brazil/?hl=en" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cine Brazil</a> is a sociocultural project based in London that aims to bring Brazilian cinema to the city to rebuild the narrative of our culture, arts and country. We support grassroots organisations in Brazil through the donation of our Box Office.Join us at Peckham Pelican to watch the films, meet the team and find out more about HIV prevention, testing and support.Day: 14 October (Thursday)Time: Doors open from 6pm - Films and starting at 7pm (Come early so you can make sure you have a seat and a pizza!)Where: The Peckham Pelican (92 Peckham Rd, London SE15 5PY)**Please note: The venue has only 60 seats available and 20 tickets for standing up. We cannot guarantee your seat, please arrive early so you can get a seat.
