Roddy Hart: An American Lyric
(My love for the words of the great American songwriters)

The 17th annual Gordon Lecture will be given this year by singer-songwriter Roddy Hart. Roddy presents a weekly show for BBC Radio Scotland as well as The Quay Sessions. He also curates the Roaming Roots Revue each year as part of Celtic Connections which includes a number of transatlantic musicians.

In a combined musical performance and lecture Roddy will be touching on some of his favourite music by diverse American musicians such as Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Tom Waits, Paul Simon, Wilco, and Father John Misty.
