In November, the UK hosts the delayed United Nations COP26 climate change summit. During the build-up, and over the COP itself, the <a href="https://www.sussex.ac.uk/research/centres/sussex-energy-group/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sussex Energy Group</a> will be presenting highlights of its research in this seminar series that are relevant to the themes of these crucial global negotiations.DescriptionA panel of Sussex Energy Group researchers discuss the outcomes of COP26, the debates that have come up throughout this seminar series, and what bearing the latest from the climate negotiations may have on their research interests.Biographies<a href="https://profiles.sussex.ac.uk/p458012-marie-claire-brisbois" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Marie Claire Brisbois </a>is a Senior Lecturer in Energy Policy at SPRU and co-director of the Sussex Energy Group. Her work examines questions of structural power, politics and influence in energy, water and natural resource governance contexts.<a href="https://profiles.sussex.ac.uk/p334683-ralitsa-hiteva" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ralitsa Hiteva</a> is a Senior Research Fellow specialising in infrastructure governance and regulation. Ralitsa works on changes to business models for infrastructure provision due to pressures such as cross–sector integrations and low carbon transitions; and the complex governance arrangements across scales and multi-scale systems strategic infrastructure decision-making.<a href="https://profiles.sussex.ac.uk/p371784-lokendra-karki" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lokendra Karki</a> is a Research Fellow at SPRU. His current research focuses on the understanding role of agriculture, forestry and other land-use (AFOLU) sector in climate change mitigation, and explores different land-use based technologies for co-delivering reduced emissions, sustainable production and improved well-being. He has more than ten years of work experience in developing, leading and implementing projects for small farmers in the field of appropriate agricultural technology diffusion and adaptation to climate change.<a href="https://profiles.sussex.ac.uk/p328393-philip-johnstone" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Phil Johnstone</a> is a Senior Research Fellow with a background in Human Geography and Science and Technology Studies interested in energy policy, the political and democratic implications of technological development, understanding the role and nature of the state in the 21st century, and developing more spatial understandings of Science &amp; Technology policy.
