Willow Christmas Tree Weaving Workshop

Working in partnership with Richmond Council, Barnes Common Limited (BCL) a local independent charity oversees the stewardship of Barnes Common, the Leg o' Mutton Local Nature Reserve and Vine Road Recreation Ground (affectionately known as Vine Road Park).Conservation has always been at the heart of all that we do and continues to be today. Whether we are preserving precious woodlands, creating important wildlife habitats, sowing seeds in our Community Growing area, introducing the community to the bats at Leg o' Mutton or engaging the community in our Lifelong Learning program, the Vine Road Project and Flood Resilience.

Come along on our activities planned with families in mind - join our nature walks, growing sessions, litter picks and the Yaffles monthly nature club!

The team at Barnes Common is delighted to welcome back Ellie Morgan, founder of <a href="https://www.woodwoolwillow.com/" title="https://www.woodwoolwillow.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Wood, Wool, Willow</a>, who will lead this special Christmas workshop.With Ellie's expert guidance, you will weave your own willow Christmas tree decoration to take home. Perfect for children 5 years and upwards, accompanied by an adult.All equipment and materials will be provided. Please dress in clothing you don’t mind getting dusty.Your ticket includes a hot drink and a mince pie.This is a drop-in activity taking approximately 30 minutes. Please choose a time slot for your ticket, and arrive within your time slot.No dogs allowed.

TICKETS: All proceeds from ticket sales will support future learning events and we would encourage you, if you can, to pay full price. We do not want cost to be a barrier to our activities, as such we have a limited number of discount concession tickets available, please email development@barnescommon.org.uk for details.
