Women’s Consortium is a small but growing mental health charity with a vision to ensure that everyone is valued and supported to reach their full potential. Women’s Consortium began by addressing the lack of specialist services for women, offering safe spaces and trauma-informed interventions tailored to their unique needs. Over time, Women’s Consortium have expanded to provide inclusive services for all individuals, while continuing to prioritise the wellbeing of women and girls.Our mission is to promote mental health and wellbeing, particularly for those from disadvantaged and marginalised backgrounds. We provide accessible, non-judgemental support that helps people overcome barriers and rebuild their lives. Our services include therapy, legal advice, fitness and holistic programmes, designed to address the root causes of distress such as domestic abuse, financial hardship, immigration challenges, and family breakdown.

With a staggering 365% increase in reported Islamophobic incidents (Islamophobia Response Unit), it is crucial that we come together to raise awareness, foster understanding, and challenge harmful stereotypes.A 2021 report by the Better Community Business Network (BCBN) revealed a troubling link between Islamophobia and mental health: over 70% of individuals who reported mental health struggles had also experienced Islamophobia. These figures highlight the deep and lasting impact of discrimination on the wellbeing of Muslim communities.The theme for IAM 2025 is “Flip the Script” — a powerful call to action to challenge and change the narratives that misrepresent Muslims. By flipping the script, we move away from assumptions and misinformation, and toward empathy, education, and awareness. This session will explore how we can reframe conversations, amplify authentic voices, and build inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen and respected.Whether you're new to this topic or already engaged in anti-discrimination work, this awareness session will offer valuable insights, real stories, and practical tools to help you become part of the change.
