The Instituto Cervantes is the official Spanish language and culture centre created by the Spanish government in 1991. The Instituto's mission is to spread the knowledge and appreciation of the Spanish universe by enabling people to engage with the language and culture of Spanish-speaking countriesworldwide. La Embajada del Perú en el Reino Unido, junto con el Instituto Cervantes presenta nueva edición del Club de Cine Peruano, un espacio dedicado a mostrar la creatividad, diversidad y el talento del cine peruano. Las dos películas del ciclo exploran la identidad, la memoria y la experiencia humana a través de poderosas narrativas. La película del martes 11 de noviembre es: “Kinra” (2024), dirigida por Marco Panatonic, cuenta la historia de Atoqcha, un joven dividido entre sus raíces rurales andinas y su vida como estudiante universitario en Cusco. Su viaje revela la tensión emocional entre la tradición y la modernidad, el sentido de pertenencia y la transformación.Película en castellano y Quechua con subtítulos en inglés. KINRA (MOTHERLAND) directed by Marco PanatonicAtoqcha, a young man from Cusco who dreams of becoming an engineer, faces a profound dilemma between pursuing his studies in the city and staying with his mother and sister in the Peruvian highlands. As he moves between rural and urban realities, he carries with him the essence of his homeland and the weight of belonging. Film in Quechua and Spanish with English subtitles.
