PREVENT Training in Nottingham helps teams spot radicalisation risks, make referrals, and understand current threat trends.

PREVENT TRAINING The Nottingham Prevent team offer dedicated face-to-face Prevent training sessions to support organisations in identifying and supporting individuals susceptible to radicalisation. Prevent is part of CONTEST, the government’s counter-terrorism strategy and is designed to safeguard individuals from being drawn into terrorism or supporting terrorism. Our interactive sessions will help teams recognise and respond to concerns, understand the risks of radicalisation, and confidently apply the principles of Prevent.This training will cover:<ul><li>The role of Prevent within CONTEST</li><li>The Prevent process and how it works in practice</li><li>How to make a referral confidently and appropriately</li><li>Key trends and ideologies shaping the current threat landscape</li><li>Current priorities</li><li>Signs to look out for</li></ul> We can also provide you with leaflets in English and a number of other languages which briefly describe Prevent and where to get more information. We are currently running two training sessions. If you are interested in attending either of these sessions, please sign up by visiting the link below. 16th January 2026 from 9.30-11.00a.m. (Face to Face) at Byron House (see address below to add in) 26th January from 13.30-15.00p.m (Microsoft Teams).
